From GunZ: The Duel

There are two different weapon types in GunZ: The Duel. They are classified under melee and ranged.

Melee Weapons are weapons wielded by the user to deal short-range damage. Melee Weapons have a wide range of uses including attacking, climbing, and guarding. Up to one can be held at once, and it is usually used by pressing the 1 key.

Ranged Weapons are weapons that deal short- to long-range damage (also known as guns). Guns require ammo to shoot and up to two can be held at once. By default, ranged weapons are set to the 2 and 3 keys.
